The project consists of demolition of a 12,118 square-feet existing library and the construction of a 21,500 square-feet library facility on the same site.The new library includes adult reading areas, a teen area and juvenile/early childhood area with dedicated programming space, a homework center, group study/tutoring rooms, a 100-seat community meeting room, express-service checkout machines at the lobby, information services desks, public access computers, staff areas, and public restrooms; and associated site improvements, including landscaping, walkways, and security lighting.The project is designed and built to LEED Gold Certification level using design-build delivery method.

  • The project will achieve LEED Gold Certification by incorporating sustainable features including infiltration basins, water efficient landscape, high performance dual glazing exterior wall system and energy efficient variable refrigerant volume heat recovery system.
  • The new library project features a large open space with hardscape & landscape to stage outdoor events related to library programs and services and other community events as well as a civic art component.
