Located in the Third Supervisorial District, and as part of the program to enrich lives through effective and caring service, the County of Los Angeles is underway on the construction of an attractive, highly functional, green, cost conscious, modern campus that will provide space, for the first time, a single home, under one roof, for the following seven different County departments: Probation, Social Services, Child Support, Health Services, Public Health, Mental Health, Children and Family Services. The San Fernando Valley Family Support Center will be a friendly, appealing campus that will enhance its neighborhood and nurture a pride of place, of community, and of citizenship for its users, its neighbors, its staff and the greater Los Angeles County.

This project will consist of a new 5-level office building of approximately 212, 000 square feet with an inviting urban edge as it lines Van Nuys Boulevard, and a new 5 level parking structure to accommodate 1,248 vehicles half of which will be subterranean.

The new green campus core, green in-between spaces, the office building and the parking structure will take advantage of sustainability features and be peppered with art, hardscape, landscape, and integrated to create a distinctive place for Los Angeles County and ultimately achieve a USGBS LEED NC Gold Certification.
